markets remained unchanged Jan. 4, amid thin trading. March ICE Brent crude oil
futures contracts closed at $80.4/b at 0830 GMT, $5.79/b lower than the previous

Chinese buyer stated that the market was devoid of trading activity today.
Anqing Petrochemical, China, plans to restart its 210,000-mt/year acrylonitrile
plant in Anhui at around Jan. 10. This is a delay from an earlier scheduled
Dec.30 restart. However, this was delayed due to COVID-19. "Many of our workers have recovered from COVID-19, so
we are planning to restart around Jan. 10," the company source said. Many
ACN producers in northeast Asia reduced their run rates or shut plantsearlier
in the year...
