Unv1Dec. 5, despite thin trading on the first
day of the week, the propylene market was steady. The February ICE Brent
crude oils futures contract fell 78c/b from its previous Asian close of
$85.98/b at 0830 GMT. However, import
demand was not affected by the lower crude oil prices. Propylene demand continued to rise despite the depleting
stockpiles of end-users in China. A
Chinese trader said that at least two to three PDHs in China were scheduled for
planned shut down within the next one or two month. East China propylene was reportedly heard at Yuan 7,300/mt
exc tank Dec. 5, an increase of Yuan 50/mt over Dec. 2. According to plant news, Unv1's CPC increased its propylene
