Asian isomer-grade mixed xylene rose $19-24/mt
on the day at $1.016-2.500/mt FOB Korea, and at $1.019-2.500/mt CFR Unv1. On
the back of another solid day in the upstream markets, $1,016-1,050/mt China on
July 28, and $1,016-1,050/mt China on July 28, September ICE Brent crude
oil futures rose 2.33/barrel to $107.89-120.50/b by 0830 GMT in Asian trading.
This pushed aromatics prices higher. The
forward curve flipped from contango to backwardation again in isomer-MX when
September was offered at a higher price than the August second-half offer. H2 August was valued at $1.013-2.500/mt FOB Korea while
September was priced at $1.019-2.500/mt FoB Korea. This resulted in a $6-7/mt
