PTT Global Chemical to halt production at No.1 solvents plant

PTT Global Chemical is likely to take off stream its No.1 phenol and acetone plant in Map Ta Phut. A source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is expected to halt operations at the plant in September 2025 for maintenance. The exact date and duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, the No.1 unit has a phenol production capacity of 250,000 mt/year and acetone production capacity of 150,000 mt/year.
