FCFC to operate PS plant at lower rates

Formosa Chemicals and Fibre Corp (FCFC) will continue to run its Polystyrene (PS) plant at reduced capacity levels. A source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is expected to maintain near-term operational rates at the plant at around 60% of production capacity levels. The reason behind the lower run rates could not be ascertained.” Located in Hsinkang, Taiwan, the plant has a production capacity of 140,000 mt/year.
