- Downstream demand for weak- PX-naphtha spreads above key
$300-315/mt

Asian paraxylene rose $2/mt to $932.33/mt
CFR Unv1/China Dec. 20, while the C&F Japan naphtha marker was up $5.50/mt
at $624/mt. The February Brent crude oils futures contract gained 33c/b to
$79.25/b Dec. C&F Japan naphtha was up $2/mt on
the day at $932.33/mt CFR. According to an Asian trading
resource, downstream demand in China was weak. This,
combined with low demand, could lower the upside for PX prices.
