Export and domestic polypropylene price
levels remained stable week-on-week February 15, as market input indicated that
exports are still unworkable due to current fundamentals. No new
activity was recorded between Feb. 16-22. Spot domestic homopolymer PP was heard at 52c/lb
for rail cars. This is despite the fact that spot prices are still above 50c/lb
in spot markets. Another source stated that contract polymer-grade propylene
levels will increase in February following a double-digit increase in January. exports are
almost impossible because of this. Spot February PGP at 50.5c/lb FDUSG
on Feb. 22. Flat on the day, and 0.75 cents lower on the week. Sources familiar
