The US Gulf Coast spot mixed-xylenes prices
rose 8 cents on the week of Nov. On
the week ending November 4, mixed xylenes prices in the US Gulf Coast moved 8
cents higher than last week. They were also at a seven-month low of 342
cents/gal. This price was at parity with nitration grade toluene. MX and nitration grade toluene continued to be in high
demand by gasoline blends. They said that supplies of RVP octane boosters
were limited. These are needed to
offset excess naphtha that is being re-mixed into gasoline stocks. These are needed to compensate for excess naphtha being
