prices were assessed higher at $15/mt week on week at $1,315/mt CFR China Nov. 16,
with support from rising styrene monomer prices and a stronger yuan. Sources said that
Feedstock SM rose $50.50/mt in a week to $975.50/mt in China on Nov. 16. This
support was likely to be a result of rising styrene monomer prices and a stronger
yuan. An ABS producer stated that
"the market is still quiet, the demand is low, and the sentiment is weak in
China, there isn't much change on the week." He also said that recent currency
fluctuations had given some buying power to certain markets such as China where
