The continued strength of upstream natural
gas prices caused a spike in European oxo alcohol price increases in the week
ending Sept. 15. The
market saw price increases in European iso-butanol and n-butanol markets.
However, higher natural gas prices continue to be a major factor. One producer stated that they are selling gas in extremely
unusual forms when it comes down to pricing. Domestic NBA prices were Eur1,950/mt FOB Rotterdam, an
increase of Eur40/mt over the previous week. This is the highest price in an
indicative range of Eur1,880-1,950/mt and the lower end of an indicative range of Eur1,800-2,200/mt. The export NBA prices
