The Asian benzene market was quiet on Nov.
8, as buyers remained hesitant and suppliers remained firm in their offers. FOB Korea's benzene marker
rose 33 cents/mt, to $805-$825/mt. December and January laycans attracted bids
of $804/mt. The FOB Korea basis bid for December
laycan was received at $804-$824/mt after 0830 GMT. The Far East Asia region was lacking in trade discussions
due to buyers and sellers not being able to agree on a cash differential to the
floating spot cargo price. The floating
basis CFR China market was being discussed at a range of plus $28-plus $35/mt
to the weekly Mean of Korea base price. One
