The spot US export polyvinylchloride prices
fell $290-310/mt over the week of July 13. This was based on a deal at $1,000-1,030/mt
FAS Houston. The prices were set at
$1,020-$1,030/mt FAS, the lowest level since September 2020. There was a base
range between $1,000-$1,010/mt FAS and an additional $20-25/mt to cover higher
costs for drayage trucking as well as storage of packaged material in warehouses. Additional
freight costs, insurance, and margins are not included in the assessment. Spot export
PVC prices in the US have fallen 41% since May 25, similar to when they fell
39% in six weeks, to $520-540/mt FAS in late April 2020 during the peak of
