- On the day, upstream crude oil prices gain- July: No styrene interests heard

On July 20, the European benzene market was
still quiet. Summer holidays across Europe saw activity slow down throughout
the product chain. Crude oil prices gained on the day
upstream. The front-month ICE Brent crude oil swap at 1630
London time was $106.64-130.50/b. This is an increase of $1.04 over the
previous day. Forward delivery can be assessed at $1,321-1,350/mt
CIF AR for five to thirty days. July and August delivery cans remain in a
backwardated arrangement. The downstream styrene marketplace
saw little interest in July loadings and sellers were more interested in August
and September cargo offers.
