Dangote Refinery will undertake a turnaround at its gasoline-making unit

Apr 19, 2025

Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Company plans to close a unit that produces 240,000 barrels of gasoline per day at its refinery located in Lagos, Nigeria. This is for maintenance. The turnaround will likely begin on June 1, and last around 30 days. The maintenance, according to industry observers, could result in the inflow of gasoline from Europe into West Africa. The Lagos refinery's crude processing capacity is 650,000 bpd. The refinery's capacity is below its optimal levels, with run rates of 80-85 per cent in early February.
