Dairen Chemical extends No.2 VAM unit shutdown

Dairen Chemical is in plans to keep its No.2 Vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) unit off stream for an unspecified period. A source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is heard to have prolonged the shutdown of the unit due to unforeseen circumstances. The unit has reportedly been offline since June 10, 2025.” Located in Mai Liao, Taiwan, the No.2 VAM plant has a production capacity of 300,000 mt/year.
