Idemitsu SM Malaysia run SM plant at lower rates

Idemitsu SM Malaysia is presently operating its styrene monomer (SM) plant in Pasir Gudang at curtailed capacity levels. A source in Malaysia informed a team member, “The company is operating the plant at around 70% of capacity levels. The reason behind the planned reduced rates could not be ascertained.” Located in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, the plant has production capacity of 240,000 mt/year.
