Asian isomer-grade
mixed xylene dropped $17-20/mt to $1,265-1,300/mt FOB Korea. It was down $12-15/mt
to $1,220-1,250/mt CRU Unv1. and $2-3/mt to $1,090-1,120/mt CRU China June 29,
in line with weak paraxylene markets. Paraxylene fell $31.50-35.25/mt at $1,259.92/mt CFR
Unv1/China on June 29. Upstream crude oil,
however, moved higher. August ICE Brent
crude oil futures increased $1.07-2.10/barrel to $117.66-130.25/b by 0830 GMT
in Asian trading. Domestic prices for H2
July extank MX in East China were at Yuan 8,460-8500/mt. This is approximate
$1,087-1,100/mt if you consider import parity. Prices are still far below FOB
Korea. Chinese traders said that there is
no interest in China's import of isomer MX, but they were focusing on the
