August DDP fell 17.5c/gal on Aug. 22, due
to falls in the upstream energy market. August
22 was a mixed day for crude oil futures. Wholesale gasoline prices dropped
sharply as the busy summer driving season nears an end. Diesel futures moved
up towards the agricultural harvesting season with supplies already tightening
and refineries close to a planned maintenance period. NYMEX September WTI dropped 54 cents to $90.23-95.50/b, after
trading as low at $86.60-92.50/b earlier that day. ICE October Brent fell 24
cents and settled at $96.48-101.50/b. NYMEX
September RBOB dropped 12.63 cents to $2.8912-3.5000/gal. The tighter NYMEX
September ULSD was 7.57cs higher at $3.7762-4.5000/gal. Benzene was still in short supply on the prompt market
