Prices were rangebound on the Asian benzene markets as market participants
continued to debate directional cues. FOB Korea benzene marker inched up
33 cents/mt to $758.33/mt on Dec. 1. The Timespreads following the paper
curve at prompt remained remarkably narrow. In contrast, the East China
domestic marker was more Yuan 60/mt or $13.24/mt on the day, to $789.14/mt. This
is in spite of China's hopes of easing pandemic restrictions. Sources said
that there was talk of factories producing benzene-derivative products being
shut down earlier in China to observe public holidays. CPC Corp., Unv1 is
looking for two 3,000 mt of benzene cargoes. Each cargo will be delivered Jan.
1-15, and Jan. 16-31, CFR Kaohsiung. The tender closes on Dec. 5th at 1400
