Dec. CP propane swaps November 21 were
valued at $640-660/mt. This is a $1/mt decrease compared to the previous
session and $30/mt higher than the November term CP. LPG's backwardated structure continues to expand
as North Asia stockpiles heating fuel. Winter is expected to get colder due to
the La Nina weather phenomenon, which will continue into the third year. Trade
sources indicated that the Japanese could be discouraged from purchasing
further LPG imports because of the increasing backwardation. The December-January
CP propane swap backwardation increased by $3/mt to $16/mt November 21, while
the January/February CP propane switch backwardation increased by 50 cents/mt
