CNOOC halts operations at acrylic acid unit

China National Offshore Oil Co (CNOOC) has taken its Acrylic acid unit offstream. A source in China informed a team member, “The company has shut the unit this week for maintenance. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Huizhou, Guangdong province of China, the unit has a production capacity of 140,000 mt/year.
