Asian butadiene was stable on June 14,
except in China where it fell by Yuan 500-550/mt, to a one-month low. According to market
sources, China's Sinopec cut its local list price by Yuan 400/mt on June 14, bringing
it down to Yuan 11,500-11,600/mt (or $1,478-1,500/mt) on an import parity
basis. China's spot market fell by Yuan
500-550/mt per day. It was then assessed at Yuan 111,000-111,500/mt or $1,414-1,450/mt
based on import parity on June 14. China's
domestic market is facing pressure because of increased supplies in the second
half of June, which is consistent with the planned startup. The plant can produce 100,000 mt/year of butadiene. It was
