Due to low domestic demand in China, Asian
acetic acid prices fell in the seven days leading up to Sept. 15. The AA inventory in
coastal China was high at around 170,000-180,000 mt. Sources said that AA producers were at 90% capacity and
under pressure to export. India's buying
sentiment improved, but bids of $450-$480/mt were not enough to close the gap
between sellers who held firm to $500-$510/mt CRS South Asia. Some were willing
