China's Shandong Haijiang Chemical delays ACN Plant Restart | Weak downstream ABS demand

Due to growing spot volume, the Asia
acrylonitrile market fell Nov. 22. Some ACN producers have restarted their
plants in Northeast Asia. Some producers have increased their runs in
China recently. The producers had earlier reduced run
rates or shut plants to mitigate weak margins. The east China domestic price
declined Yuan 200/mt on the day to Yuan 11,800 mt, ex-tank.
"Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene downstream run rate in China is now 78%,
below the 80% last week, and there is oversupply when more producers have
restart their plant," said a producer in Northeast Asia. China's Shandong
Haijiang Chemical delayed the restart of its 130,000 mt/year ACN plant in Zibo,
Shandong province, to Nov. 28, from Nov. 20, S&P Global Commodity Insights...
