imports fell on Dec. 7, as low polyester rates caused a drop in prices. The February
Intercontinental Exchange Brent crude oils futures fell $3.33/b to $72.36/b by
4:30 PM Singapore time (0830 GMT), Dec. 7. Sources claim that domestic prices are now at parity with
imported prices, after taking into account a 5.5% value added tax and current
exchange rates. According to plant news
sources, China's Sanjiang chemical will begin its 1 million mt/year
monoethyleneglycol in Jiaxing by 2023. Sources close to the company stated Dec.
