As China's production rate increased, there
were few discussions in Asia on September 14. This was to ease supply shortages. Styrene monomer prices
were lower following a spike in China's supply. The prompt demand was less than the previous week, and there
were no discussions about importing styrene to China. One producer stated that operating rates were at 77.7%. This
is approximately 3% more than the previous week. Prices may stabilize closer to September's end due to
restarts and an increase in production rates. A producer said that the fourth quarter's end celebrations
