- China's inventory reaches 27,000 mt- Supplies rising in line with plant startup



As a result of falling sentiment in China,
Asian butadiene dropped $10/mt over the past week. China's tight supply
situation continued to ease, with its inventory increasing by around 4,000 mt
weekly to 27,000 mt. Market sources also stated that China's domestic butadiene
stocks are growing. Sources close to
Shenghong Petrochemical in China said that the company plans to open its
160,000 mt/year new butadiene plant at Lianyungang, Jiangsu, between November
and December. After repairs on Sept. 24,
Hengli Petrochemical has restarted its 200,000-mt/year Butadiene Plant. Julie
Petrochemical will restart its 130,000-mt/year Zhangzhou Butadiene Plant in
October following maintenance. According
