- China's Acetone-Phen inventories are tightening- India Expects Stronger Demand in October



In the week ending Sept. 20, trade
discussions in Asia's acetone and phenol markets were very sparse. Chinese domestic phenol
increased Yuan 700/mt over the week to Yuan 10,700-11,000/mt (or $1,292.02-1,300/mt
if you use import-parity). Sept. 20 was also the week that Chinese domestic
Acetone rose about Yuan 300-350/mt to Yuan 5,400-6,000/mt (652.05/mt if you use
import-parity). CFR China phenol was
discussed at $1,250-1,260/mt. CFR China
phenol rose $50-55/mt week-on-week to $1,250-1,280/mt. CFR China Acetone increased $15-20/mt week on week to $620-640/mt. Indian phenol market outlook was mixed. Buyers held at
$1250-$1,280/mt CFR while offers were at $1350-$1,350/mt Chinese-origin
cargoes. The FOB China levels are
