Asian MTBE fell on Nov. 15, due to
overnight oil losses. This was in response to OPEC's release on Nov. 14 of
lower expectations for oil demand growth in 2023. Asian MTBE fell $36/mt per
day to $977/mt on November 15. The MTBE
factor remained at 1.233. This corresponds with lower gasoline prices. There
were no offers or bids submitted on the Market on Close. A trader stated that market participants from Southeast Asia
were worried about the liquidity of China's origin cargoes due to a stronger
Chinese yuan, and falling MTBE price. The
