Asian paraxylene fell $10.75/mt to
$954.25/mt CFR unv1/China Nov. 17, as it followed the fall in oil markets that
day. January Brent crude crude futures fell
$1.17/b to $92.75/b, and market participants mostly retreated from the action
as oil prices dropped during the Asian morning. Oil recovered
some ground, and the PX followed suit. The first
two trading sessions saw sharp declines in PTA futures on Zhengzhou Commodity
Exchange (ZCE), Nov. 17 and January 2023 contracts closing at Yuan 5,282/mt.
This was Yuan 104/mt or $12.77/mt day on day. A trader from
Asia stated that the Chinese market was experiencing a fall in commodity and
