Asian toluene was valued at $4-5/mt less
day-on-day at $946-970/mt FOB Korea and $993-1020/mt CFR China on July 21 due
to slow demand in key markets such as China and India. Market sentiment was also affected by the fall
in crude oil futures. September ICE Brent crude oil futures fell $2.20-3.50/barrel
on the day to $103.76-120.50/b by 0830 GMT in Asian trading. A Chinese
trader stated that "Toluene appears dead with crude falling apart." Yuan 7,760-7,900/mt
was the domestic price, which equates to $991.90-1020.50/mt if you consider
import parity. Toluene's Indian discussions remained weak as
Indian importers kept their CFR buying ideas low. "No
