Trading activity in China and Southeast Asia picked up June 16, spurred
by length in the market and a pressing need to clear stock amid tight tank
space. In China, a short supply of tank storage in June and July led to selling
pressure on prompt spot cargoes. An offer for a cargo of non-sanctioned origin
was heard at $340/mt CFR China, while a bid was heard at $335/mt CFR China June
16. There was also another offer at $350/mt CFR China June 16, which later
moved down to $347/mt CFR China, and a bid at $331/mt CFR China, which eased
$3/mt to $328/mt CFR by the close of afternoon trade. No deals were heard
concluded....
