- East China's Fog Issue temporarily boosts the price- India's strong offers drive down prices



As fundamentals differed between locations,
prices were divided in different directions on the Asian phenol-acetone
marketplace. Although
trade talks for China's import of phenol were almost non-existent, there was an
indication that the tradable range was $970-1,020/mt. Spot ex-tank price discussions in the east China market at
Yuan 8,100-8.150/mt led to prices jumping Yuan 125/mt weekly, or approximately
$45.01/mt up to $977.18/mt. Local sources
claimed that delays in shipment were caused by fog issues at berths throughout
east China. This led to the rebound. However,
there were no discussions about phenol exports from China. CFR China phenol physical was $975/mt up $35/mt
