US maintenances could stretch to June Asian contract prices nominated stable to lower



The US spot export mono ethylene glycol prices held steady in the week
of April 22nd, at last, traded levels after a long holiday weekend. In observance of Good Friday, US MEG was not assessed on
April 15 but rather on April 14. The
prices were evaluated on April 22 at 27.5-28.5c/lb FOB USGC. Prices were discussed in a range, with prices as high as 30
to 31 cents/lb FOB. Sources indicated that
at least one buyer expected supplier maintenances to continue throughout the
month and second quarter. Contracts: The
April US MEG contract prices remained unchanged at 41.22c/lb FOB USG ($906-910/mt). Per market feedback, the formula-based contract price
represents the average of three Asia Contract Price Nominations for March. It
