Asian Caprolactam Prices Stay Flat on Weak Demand- Discussions remain thin- Producers set minimum run rateDue to weak downstream demand, participants
in the Asian caprolactam marketplace were less interested in discussing spot
cargoes Nov. 10. The
Far East producers were left to maintain low run rates while they waited for
recovery signals, as supply remained high in comparison to demand. China's domestic ex-tank price was lower in China than it
was in South China at Yuan 12,200-12,280/mt. Due to slower end-user demand, nylon demand continued to
decline. Upstream, the FOB Korean benzene
marker declined sharply while other derivative products were also affected by
similar bearishness. CFR Far East Asia and
Southeast Asia caprolactam price were $1,750/mt as of Nov. 10, an increase of
