As long-term Chinese lockdowns kept Chinese
manufacturing sector demand low, the prices of Asian methacrylate and
polymethyl methacrylate were steady to softer in the week ended June 1. The sharper decline in MMA
and PMMA was due to shrinking production margins during an energetic rally. MMA prices remained stable at $1,770-1,800/mt CFR China as
of June 1st and unchanged week-on-week in the face of steady China domestic
market negotiations. The CFR Southeast
Asia marker was unchanged at $1,770-1,800/mt CFR China on June 1st, and
unchanged week-on-week amid stable China domestic market talks. There were no
disproving indicators. PMMA fell $15-20/mt
to $2,225-2,260/mt China (general-purpose injection grade) and $2,415-2,450/mt
