Asian MTBE FOB Singapore is down $5.82/mt from the previous day to $658.98/mt on July 11, and a cash differential of $1.06/b is added for FOB Singapore 92 RON gas Mean of Singapore MOPS Strip (15-40 Days). A China-based source confirmed that the MTBE arbitrage between China and Europe, which opened up in the week prior to July 11, due to higher RBOB prices in Europe and summer fuel demand, is now closed. Sources said that at least three MR-sized ships were sold to the European Market, with one vessel being sold at a higher price than $650/mt for mid-August loading.
