Asian benzene was valued at $27.32.50/mt,
down from Aug. 12, and $939.33-950.50/mt FOB Korea marker. Aug. 15. Last time physical offers were heard, they were
at $940-960/mt FOB Korea for H1 September loading FOB Korea and at $941-960/mt
to counter bid at $939-960/mt FOB Korea for H2 September loading FOB Korea. In the
benzene markets, the bearish sentiment was triggered by lower upstream prices. The Naphtha
C+F Japan, which was valued at $684-700/mt on Aug. 15, was also down $26.75-32.50/mt. Due to
volatile upstream prices in the CFR China market, discussions were mostly heard
on a floating basis with September arrivals. The CFR
China offers were received at September WMOPK plus $35-40/mt, against a bid at
