The Asian Ethylene markets saw little
activity in the week ended Nov. 4, due to a lack of bids and firm
offers. improvement demand will not be helped by a rebound today. Operating rates are still
low because producers must manage inventories. There will also be limited
buying interest in spot ethylene since no one can increase operating
rates. Prices for SM were $13-18/mt higher on the week. Prices of high-density polyethylene dropped $20-25/mt due to
weak demand. Monoethylene glycol prices rose $17-22/mt on the same week,
although traders noted that there were more selling ideas for US-origin
