- More Chinese export offers are heard- Chinese domestic prices have risen

Asian MTBE fell $15.04/mt on the day to
$925.85/mt February 15, due to falling crude oil prices. According to a market participant more export
offers were received in the week ending February 17, as Chinese sellers were
more interested in overseas exports due to their higher margins. A trader
stated that Chinese domestic prices rose Yuan 100/mt by day to Yuan 7,100/mt
February 15, as there was increased overseas demand for Chinese exports. The
offers were $915/mt FOB China March-April loading. Sources
said that a 10,000-mt Chinese MTBE cargo was traded FOB China at $910-$920/mt
on February 14, while another 5,000 mt cargo was traded for $950/mt CFR
Singapore on February 14.
