Prices fell further on Aug. 31, as the US
aromatics market in toluene/mixed xylenes became bearish. For months of September FOB
Nitration grade, toluene on the US Gulf Coast was 354 cents per gallon. This is
based upon an offer at 355 cents/gal at Intercontinental Terminals Company Deer
Park. In line with September's forward month, October was also 354 cents/gal. This was due to a lack of market
indications. September FOB USGC mixed-xylenes
was at 354c/gal. This is based on an offer of 355c/gal, ITCDP. The September and October assessments were maintained at

US blending components stocks were stable for the week ended August 26 but
