Market participants said European butanol markets were long in the week
to June 16 with limited demand from consumers, while supply and demand
fundamentals in the 2-ethyl hexanol market were balanced. N-butanol prices were
assessed at Eur2,000/mt FD Northwest Europe, down Eur90/mt on the week,
weighing a distributor indication of prices slightly below Eur2,000/mt against
a producer indication of prices at Eur2,000/mt or above. Export market prices
were assessed at $1,650/mt FOB Rotterdam, down $90/mt on the week, within a
producer indication of prices between $1,600-$1,700/mt, and partially mirroring
changes in domestic pricing. Domestic I-butanol at Eur1,570/mt,
unchanged on the week, below a distributor indication between
Eur1,680-Eur1,700/mt, and below a producer indication between
