The European oxo alcohol market continued
to experience weak demand and strong supply during the week ending July 28,
mirroring the trends observed throughout the propylene value chains in July. Despite the market length,
sellers remain bullish on their pricing levels. This suggests that buyers are
not being met with reasonable pricing due to upstream pricing pressure. Spot domestic n-butanol prices at Eur1,800-1,820/mt FD
Northwest Europe, an increase of Eur70-72/mt over the previous week. This is
compared to a distributor indicator of prices between Eur1,800-1.850/mt and
toward a producer indicator of prices at Eur1,850-1,870/mt. It takes into
account the ongoing long market conditions and higher upstream and downstream
