Buyers meet contractual obligations  2-EH spot prices dip 



The European oxo alcohol
markets saw very little activity during the week ending April 28. A 2-ethyl hexanol supplier stated that he feels the market is
quieter than usual. European 2-EH spot
prices down Eur25-28/mt on the week at Eur2,275-2,300/mt FD Northwest Europe,
moving down within a producer's indicative range at Eur2,200-Eur2,300/mt,
considering dull spot market activity and pending further corroboration. Spot prices for export were down $25-30/mt this week at
$1.875/mt FOB Rotterdam. This was partially due to a decrease in domestic
pricing. Buyers fulfilled their
contractual obligations, buoyant the 2-EH contractual marketplace. Unconfirmed turnarounds in Europe meant that the supplier
claimed there was not enough product in the spot market. Similar trends were observed in Europe's propylene market
from April 27 to 27, which indicates cautious...
