Gulf Coast spot MTBE flats prices edged 0.75c lower on May 10, following lower
gasoline prices and taking into account a bid made during the Market on Close
evaluation process. LyondellBasell offered 25,000 barrels at 422.25c/gal for May
18-22. Enterprise Products offered 50,000
barrels of MTBE at 434.00c/gal for May 21-25. However, this didn't test any
previous levels. During the MOC process,
no trades were made. On that day, the MTBE
premium for prompt-month NYMEX RBOB widened by 68.15 Cents/gal. The NYMEX June RBOB was 10.04 cents less than the previous
day, at 354.15c/gal. Crude oil dropped
below $100/b-$120/b and NYMEX front-month RBOB dropped by 10.04c/gal (or 3%). The crude oil has fallen by almost 10% in just two sessions,...
