US EPC ethylene spot prices were stable
to on the week and day ending August. 5. Market participants said
that demand was thin due to the continued length of the market, despite the
increase in prices. August spot EPC
ethylene remained stable over the week ending Aug. 5, at 24.75c/lb FD Mont
Belvieu. It was within a bid/offer range of 24.5 –26.5c/lb MtB –pipe. September spot
EPC ethylene increased 0.5 cents over the week to 25.5c/lb FD Mont Belvieu.
This market structure was widened to 0.75c contango, as buyers became more
interested in the forward -month. Prices fell in the Choctaw Market during the week. August Choctaw Ethylene was stable at 25 cents/lb FDC
Choctaw. This price was 0.5c lower than the previous week and was within an
offer/bid range...
