Asian styrene monmer rose $5/mt to $960/mt
CFR China on Nov. 23, and $955/mt FOB Korea on Nov. 23, amid firmer import
parity values in China. The
prompt marker experienced a drop of Yuan 35-40/mt. It was valued at Yuan 8,125-8,195/mt
ex-tank. This equates to approximately $988.94/mt based on import-parity,
$1.09/mt more on the day. According to a
source, buyers and sellers were reducing their contract volumes because of weak
Asian markets. Another source said that
overall lower crude oil prices were causing a decline in the market. Benchmark benzene FOB Korea was $15/mt higher at $807.33/mt

futures rose $0.44/b to $89.10/b by 4:30 PM Singapore time.
