for US Gulf mixed xylenes edged lower on August 3. This was due to sharp falls
in global energy prices and weakening demand. August MX was valued at
369c/gal. This is a decrease of 15 cents. August
NGT was flat at 389c/gal. According to
data from the US Energy Information Administration, gasoline blending
components inventories were flat for the week ending July 29. Stocks fell 1.5% to 208.0 million barrels from a year
earlier. The weekly gasoline supply, or
implied demand for gasoline, fell to 8.541 million b/d on the week, a decrease
