Asian toluene prices dropped Nov. 8, in
line with nearby downstream markers. The FOB Korea marker was $10/mt lower at $909/mt after an
offer was made during the day. With no
counter-bids or takers, the standard ASTM D-841 South Korean cargo for
any-December loadings was offered at $910-930/mt. A letter of credit was presented at sight to determine the
standard cargo of 2,000-mt. A 3,000-mt
South Korean-origin cargo was also offered at $908-928/mt FOB Korea. It had
minimum 99.8% purity and no takers. A
Chinese-origin cargo with any December loading was offered at $945-960/mt FOB
Maoming, for 3,000 mt and minimum 99.5% purity. There was also a letter of
credit available at sight. There were no
