spot price at $1,800-1,830/mt CIF-ARA, $120-140/mt lower than the previous
week. Market participants continue to
emphasize the downward pressure on pricing, despite the market's lengthening in
recent months. A producer stated that the
market was long and there is not much happening on spot. He also said that
prices are still in a downward trend. The
downstream demand for Acrylonitrile was particularly low. There was also
limited interest from producers in acrylonitrile butadiene. Participants said that the market was experiencing less spot
activity despite the recent decline in the industry-settled price. A producer stated that this should provide some relief...
